Valentine's Day 2011

Happy Valentine's Day!  I tried to make this day extra special for the men in my life!  A few Valentine's decorations for Aidan because he loves decorations!!  I think it's because he loves a good party!  A little nighttime prep work and voila:

Little red lipstick message for Aidan

Couldn't leave out Ryan . . .

Aidan said, "Mom, somebody left me a message on my mirror and I know it was you!"  I said, "How do you know that? He said, "Well it says love mom and there is a kiss on it too!"  So funny!  He loved it!  Then he said, "Now, what are we gonna get to wipe it off before it stains?"  Now, that's a boy after my own heart!  Too funny.

What's a Valentine's Day without heart shaped muffins for breakfast?
Aidan checking them out!  "They're little hearts, mom!"

Aidan was solo bc little A hadn't rolled out of bed yet . . .

Finally awake but still out of it!  He did love his berry muffins though!  Ate 3 of them!

Then it was off to school with these fun treats the littles helped me with:

The littles helping me stuff the goody bags .  . .notice the hand sanitizer!

Added gummy worms and hershey kisses to these fun bag toppers I found on etsy.com!

So fun!

Fun teacher gifts: a heart shaped plate with a hershey's bliss candy bar!
The boys each had a blast at their Valentine's Day Parties that the parents were not invited to attend.  Andrew loved his goodies and I let him eat several of them when we got home.  He was in heaven!

walking in with his goodies!

Guess it's time to take off the crown!

I just sat here & watched you eat till your heart's content!
Valentine Surprises from mommy and daddy:

What could it be?

"I can't believe it! Rex!"

Ohhh-What is this?

YAY!!  This little face is priceless!

Still have to post pics of our Valentine's homemade pizza night!  What a good day full of love and thankfulness!

All you need is love . . .

Valentine's Day this year was so much fun!  I really enjoyed making it special for all of my boys!  It started with finding these fun shirts:
My little heartbreakers!!

Crazy kiddos!

This is how Buzz Lightyear Says Happy Valentines!

Valentine's Day was on Monday this year.  On Sunday, we had to make heart-shaped cookies for Aidan's class to decorate with frosting and sprinkles on Monday at their Valentine's Party.  Parrain Jacques and Aunt T were in town so they rolled up their sleeves and were a big help!

Peeling them off the wax paper

All smiles:)

There are no words for this, Jacques, but look at that smile on Aidan's face!

Working intently with instruction from Parrain!

Jacques was so patient with Aidan.  We were very impressed! Look at Andrew to the left- he was happy as long he had an endless supply of gummy worms!

Baking!

The finished product!

Snow day!!

Friday, February 4th, 2011 was a SNOW day here in Shreveport!  School was canceled and your Daddy was able to stay home with y'all while Mommy had to go to work at the hospital!  I had to take your Daddy's truck so that I could use the 4 wheel drive over the Jimmy Davis Bridge!  Here are the pictures of the snowball fight with Daddy and then of the sledding with our neighbors, The Woolards, after mommy got home from work!

Please, curb your enthusiasm . . .

Little guy- still not so sure . . .

snowball time!

Watch out Daddy!

I hope that's not yellow snow!

pre-sledding practice

Aidan with Daddy!

Had to improvise & use tupperware lids since we aren't exactly sled equipped here in the south . . .

Daddy with Andrew, catching air!

All done!  yay! Andrew spent the rest of the time in the truck watching Mickey Mouse.  He's just like his momma and not fond of the cold weather!

Mr. Matt with Cayden

Sweet Aubrey girl dozed through the whole thing too!

On your marks, get set, go!!!

Pure joy!

tummy first

Love this sweet face!

Andrew had enough, but Aidan was raring to go!

Mr. Matt & Cayden

Yes, Mommy went too!

And screamed the whole way down- that thing went fast!

Mr. Matt being wild and reckless . . .

and forgetting his age . . .

Well- I did it!

"ice skating!"

Well, until next year or next February as Aidan says . . .because it snowed last February too!
